18th Century Smoothbores School of the Longhunter Seminar 2023 | Duelist 1954

Mike Beliveau brings us along as he presents his seminar on 18th century Smoothbores at the School of the Longhunter. Mike’s seminars are among the best in contemporary muzzleloading, we are so excited to see this presentation published online.

This presentation will cover Smoothbores in the 18th century, Military Muskets, and finish out with Civilian Smoothbores. Mike brings in topics about blackpowder of the 18th century and documented, practical application of smoothbores and how they were used in the American colonies in the 18th century.

One of the seminar topics that I present is on period correct loading and firing techniques for 18th century smooth-bored guns. The seminar covers both military muskets and civilian guns. I give seminars at various events, but since most of you will never attend one of those events, I decided to turn the seminar into a video.
