2023 Contemporary Longrifle Association Annual Show | Event Tour and Photographs

Today we’re traveling to Lexington, Kentucky for the Contemporary Longrifle Association Annual Show.

As always, the CLA show is a wonderful meeting of muzzleloading culture, craftsmanship and camaraderie. The two day show goes by fast, with several hundred tables it can be hard to see everything on every table.

This year my father and I had a table at the show. At past events, It’s been hard to coordinate meeting with friends and followers of I Love Muzzleloading. I set out with the table in mind this year to have a central location for my activities and a good hang out spot for meeting folks.

And meet folks I did! All day Saturday and Sunday I was able to meet with friends old and new and talk with hundreds of you about your passion for muzzleloading, and it was awesome. I work by myself most of the time here at I Love Muzzleloading, and returning from the CLA after our great conversations was energizing to an incredible degree.

The downside, if you can call it that, is that having a table makes it difficult to see the whole show. Looking back on the weekend, I don’t think I was able to see more than 1/3 of the show and that will be reflected in the photos and event tour video.
