Bestill Custom Creations releases video on Custom T/C Omega Details and Tips

Jeff Fisk of Bestill Custom Creations, a custom muzzleloader shop specializing in long range accurate muzzleloaders just released this new video showcasing the details of a recent run of custom muzzleloaders built on the Thompson Center Omega platform.

While the video is primarily meant for those receiving one of these custom TC Omegas, it is a great look at the details of an amazingly built custom muzzleloader. Jeff highlights some of the things he changes from the factory as well some of the changes he’s made in the 7 years since he started building these custom Omegas.

In an original T/C Omega, some of the barrel blocks are welded while others are screwed on. Jeff has all the blocks welded so nothing can come loose and affect accuracy down the road.

Here are some details on the rifle Jeff showcases in the video in case you missed it

416R stainless, 1;19 twist .450 bore, groove depth has been altered based on Jeff’s experience in competition blackhorn 209 and blackpowder shooting.

Keen eyes will see the barrels have 8 drilled and tapped holes, this is to mount a custom made rail for these Bestill rifles. These rails are made to exactly fit barrel. Jeff beds and loctites this rail to the barrel for a rock solid mount. The rail is set up for 10 minutes- getting you about 400 yards distance according to Jeff.

For Bestill fans, this year Jeff was able to get the barrels engraved with his logo, a nice addition for those of you wanting to rep this great brand.

Levi Reed Custom Bestill Custom Creations, installed and timed to bore center. These brakes are undersized and then cut to the center of the bore.

Boyd’s custom stocks are added with an adjustable cheek rest and limb save recoil pad.

According to Jeff’s tests, these guns are seeing 14 minutes of drop at 500 yards with a 100 yard zero.

All the parts have been cerakoted for low maintenance.

Here is a target from “CVA Dave”, a customer of Jeff’s, who shot this target with a custom .45 TC Omega at 300 yards. Nice shooting!

After sharing the details of the rifles, Jeff goes on to share more information for the customers who have already purchased these great rifles. Including some bullet sizing and tools for the rifle.

Jeff is a great guy and a great builder, even if you aren’t in the market for one of these muzleloaders its a neat video to watch to learn about what is being done in the custom modern muzzleloader world.
