Final Assembly and First Shots | Investarms Gemmer Hawken How to Build Part 24

This is it folks, the final assembly of our InvestArms Gemmer Hawken from @Muzzle-Loaders. com .

It's been a long series but I can't thank you enough for sticking around, asking questions, and sharing your thoughts on the build as we went through the process from start to finish.

In total, I'd say I have about 35-40 hours in this kit at its finished state, which includes all the extra work added like the modified cheek rest, the stock slimming, and the aging. I think with some dedication, you could have this kit finished in around 20 hours if you needed it done fast and weren't looking to modify it any.

I'll be doing a full review soon about the building process as well as a range review after I have some more time at the range. Overall though I'm very pleased with the kit and its functionality.

Part inlets were nice and clean, requiring very little work on my part. I did notice the trigger guard/trigger inlets were not perfectly straight with the axis of the stock, but this did not affect functionality. With some wood removal, I believe the misalignment is hardly noticeable. The Quality of parts is nice in my opinion.

This is a mid-grade level kit, I'd say. The only thing that could be improved by you down the road is the lock if you thought you needed to, but after my first trip to the range I am pleased with it's performance at the price range.

In the video, I mention that I’m using “Frontier’s Bear Grease” as a patch lube. Lots of folks have asked where to get it, you can find it here at BS-BP.com
