UPDATED: RWS 1075 and 1075+ Number 11 Percussion Caps in stock at Powder Valley
6/28/2023 Update: We received word from Powder Valley about the age of these caps, as well an update on price from Powder Valley.
The price of the RWS 1075 caps has been reduced to $36.99 for 1075 and $37.99 for the 1075+.
Powder Valley has confirmed that the caps they have in stock are NEW STOCK sourced directly from the manufacturer.
There is no confirmation from RWS at this time, according to Powder Valley, on when more RWS Caps will be available.
Thought extinct for over a year, we are finally seeing RWS percussion caps coming in from Europe. Powder Valley Inc has listed both RWS 1075 Plus and 1075 #11 Percussion caps as IN STOCK.
1075 Plus caps cost $49.99 $37.99 per tin.
1075 caps cost $47.99 $36.99 per tin.

The current Haz Mat fee for Powder Valley is $19.95. Including shipping, the cost of a single tin of RWS caps (250 caps per tin) comes out to around $80 depending on where you are located. That’s an expensive purchase to swallow, but remember the Haz Mat Fee is applied per order, so if you have some other Haz Mat purchases to make you can included them in the same order and the sting might be a little less.
Midway USA lists 1075 caps as “Discontinued” as of reporting, and shows their cost at $54.99 for the same number of caps, so this isn’t the highest cost we’ve seen for RWS 1075 caps.
Muzzle-Loaders.com lists RWS 1075 caps as “Out of Stock”, and shows their price for the same tin of 250 caps as $24.99.
It’s safe to say this is expensive for percussion caps, but we’ve not seen these RWS 1075 caps in stock for over a year, so it is nice to see they are still out there.
What size are RWS 1075 caps?
RWS™ #11 Percussion Caps are designed to be used with any firearm or muzzleloader that uses a #11 percussion cap ignition. The RWS no.1075 Plus #11 percussion caps are very hot, similar to a “Magnum” cap from CCI or Winchester. The #11 percussion cap by RWS works great with any traditional sidelock muzzleloader that has a #11 percussion nipple, this includes rifles, shotguns and single shot pistols.

6/28: Powder Valley has confirmed that the caps they have received from RWS are new stock directly from the manufacturer.
This is a question I’m still trying to answer across the board, regardless of manufacturer. It’s hard to tell when these caps were made. It sounds silly, but we do get reports of boxes of caps being found in a warehouse and then listed for sale. A box of 20,000 caps is very small in comparison to other products a distributor might be holding.
