CVA Wins first Muzzleloading National Championship with Barry Brakebill and .40 cal Paramount

CVA made a splash with their first entry into a national muzzleloading competition, securing a gold medal at the NMLRA Spring National Shoot. CVA-sponsored shooter, Barry Brakebill shot a perfect score in his third competitive outing with the CVA Paramount .40 cal rifle. He made sure to mention this is the second perfect score he’s shot in competition to prove this kind of score with the market available rifle is no fluke.

The results are in and it official CVA has won it’s first National Championship. I want to say thanks to my CVA family for believing in me and building a world class rifle and my Lord and Savior for giving me the skill set to compete at this level. If you are a serious competitor or just an everyday hunter you can’t go wrong choosing CVA as your next rifle.

Barry took the gold in the “Inline Hunter” Aggregate, a match designed for modern inline hunters. This is one of several “Inline Matches” added to the NMLRA National matches early in the 2000s.

Over the years critics of CVA have attempted the taunt the company over its perceived lack of interest in competition and “lack of quality parts”. I think a win like this changes the discussion a little. CVA was the only manufacturer to send a sponsored shooter to the 2022 Spring Nationals. Muzzle-Loaders.com also sent a sponsored shooter in Joe-D Baxter, he was shooting the Paramount Pro in .50 caliber for the first time.
