Jim Kibler shares update on release of the Woodsrunner Kits

In an American Longrifles Forum post made this week, Jim Kibler shared an update about the Kibler Woodsrunner Kits and their progress towards being shipped.

Not yet, but we’re getting very close. Many stocks are made, we’re getting parts made right now. Just working on machining nose caps today. This is something new for us, but has worked out very well. These are more accurate and consistent than cast versions. Combined with a more accurate stock, it’s just a simple install with no fitting required.

Things have drug on and taken longer than we want, but I can say that we’re ironing out every detail so customers will have the best possible product.

So while the process has taken longer than the Kiblers wanted, it sounds like more advancements are being made towards making the kits easier to assemble. Machined nose caps are certainly a step we havn’t seen many muzzleloader manufacturers take in the past, it will be neat to see how they look and how they assemble in person.

No timeline was given on the release, but that is common in the current market. Some muzzleloader kit builders and part manufacturers have struggled with increased prices, wait times and delays for several years now. Unfortunately it looks like some of these delays will continue to affect muzzleloading for some time.
