Kibler’s Longrifles shares GORGEOUS curly stock examples in new video

The team at Kibler’s Longrifles have published a new video featuring some of the exquisite curly maple that have available for their kit muzzleloaders. In the video Jim Kibler shares some great information on the nature of curly wood and how it relates to traditional muzzle loader building.

Jim and the team have been working hard to find nice wood for their kit rifle stocks, this current batch prompted this video to showcase how beautiful wood can be. These examples won’t be in stock long, I imagine, if you want an example like this - order soon.

We got some extraordinary maple in the shop and Jim shows some of it off while he is discussing the nature of curly wood, and what cares we take to turn it into gorgeous gunstocks. Lorie shows a quick tutorial on how to finish curly maple to make the figure pop with iron nitrate gun stain and Tried and True varnish.

It’s nice to see manufacturers like Kibler’s Longrifles not only producing and selling a fine line of products, but also freely educating those interested in muzzleloading and the auxiliary skills related to it.
