Let's Build an Investarms Gemmer Hawken Kit Part 4: Rough Wood Shaping

Today we begin the rough shaping of our Hawken stock. This is a slow process with a lot of back and forth but is a crucial step in taking this kit from a basic kit to a more artful and historically accurate Hawken muzzleloader. I cover some updates on the tools I'm using, basic file techniques, and how to use historic pieces as a reference for your contemporary-made muzzleloader.

If you have any questions about this kit or the techniques I'm using, leave them in the comments below. I will address as many comments as I can in videos associated with this series to give you as much detail as I can about the answer.
